MOST CREATIVE COCKTAILS EVERRRR @ Hopscotch Bar

Hello!!!

Been a while since I'm back at this space~

I've been posting a lot on my YouTube more often lately so if you haven't get to check them out, please do!!!

Since my last blog post about my birthday, there have been quite a few enquiries about events at Hopscotch Bar, and I couldn't wait to share more about the place as well (as I am quite a frequent visitor considering I am not a frequent bar-goer HAHAHA), and they have some pretty amazing drinks you NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!

*This post is for 18 and above please don't anyhow drink if you're underage ok haha*

Hopscotch Bar is located at Red Dot Museum (Tanjong Pagar) and it's obviously super convenient near city area!!! Plus the place itself is super chill, somewhere you can just have a drink with your friends, talk about life, play some games... or just sit there alone and think about your future in general HAHAHAHA on a more serious note it is really really a very nice place to be at, to wind down at the end of the day~~

They have lots of games at the side you can pick any to play, it's free don't worry hahahahaha.


SO YES, moving on to their drinks. It's the highlight of my post and I can't wait to share with all of you the amount of drinks I tried that night LOLLL.


Their menu is super interesting, there are four different collections inside, according to Nic (the nice guy in the picture below)!!


From the first menu, we tried two drinks~




RED RUBY - Angostura Light Rum, Pandan Syrup, Homemade Coconut Sorbet.

If you're into Coconut milk, this is definitely for you!!!

I really have to give it to Hopscotch Bar for their creative plating of their drinks LOL.
IT'S ANG KU KUEH AGAR AGAR AT THE TOP LOL.


Cheap thrill while eating the agar-agar ang ku kueh lol!


ARAB STREET - Tanqueray Gin, Homemade Pomegranate Syrup, Saffron Rose Water, Apple Juice, Fresh Citrus.

For someone who LOVES fruity drinks, I LOVE THIS~~~
Not very good at describing drinks but I really like the tinge of rose fragrance in this!

Anyway, they do offer crackers alongside their drinks and I love it too...
I always have bowls and bowls of it :D


Also during weekends, they serve sashimi!!! *_*


Okay moving on to the second collection..


The cartoon pictures are shots of the actual drink itself so you can expect the exact same plating as what is shown on the picture!



BANGKOK TWISTER - Angostura Light Rum, Fresh Mango Puree,  Kaffir Lime Leaves, Lemongrass, Lime Kuice, Thai Tea Espuma.

UMMMM I really really enjoyed this one and the crazy thing is it actually tastes like BANGKOK!!!
I have no idea what made it taste so Bangkok, you gotta go try it yourself to find out hahaha but it was so intriguing I kept taking sips and sips of it just to find out what is making it taste so Bangkok hahahaha.



MELON MILK - Smirnoff Vodka, Giffard Melon Liquer, Milk, Pandan Syrup, Butterscotch Schnapps.

HELLO WHERE GOT DRINKS SO CREATIVE ONE!!!
It's topped with shaved ice & oreo biscuits!
Perfect for those who are not into strong alcohol-tasting drinks~


NEXT!


This third menu is the one that made me go like O_O... Can you just take a moment to admire all the plating!!! AND THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE....


IT IS... LEGIT CHICKEN SOUP ALCOHOL LOL.

CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE ALCOHOLIC'S SOUL - Bonito Infused Smirnoff Voda, Chicken Stock, Salt & Pepper, Soya, Sesame Oil, Coriander, Cherry Tomatoes.


I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS OK HAHAHAHA AS A HUGE FAN OF CHICKEN SOUP.


It was surprisingly good!!!
It's savoury, and the alcohol taste is really there, quite strong 'cause it's served warm, but yes!!!!
HOW CREATIVE CAN THIS BAR GET!?!?!
It's a fresh alternative to all the cold sweet drinks on the menu so please try if you're going there!


JEWEL OF MAXWELL - Tanqueray Dry Gin, Kwaifeh Lychee, Rose Cordial, Yuzu Juice, Grapefruit, Fresh Citrus.

As you can tell from the list of ingredients used, it's a fruity floral one hahaha perfectly MY TASTE.


MALT N' MARSH - Horlicks & Milk, Angostura White Reserva Rum, Giffard Caramel & Toffee, Vanilla Ice Cream, Himalayan Pink Salt.

Fans of Horlick, you gotta try this!!!
This is quite thick and I had a shock at first at the texture HAHA remember to mix it well 'cause there's ice cream inside!

MOVING ON!


Their fourth menu, also the highly recommended one 'cause these are the drinks that their customers highly requested for!!!


THIS IS THEIR STRONGEST DRINK ON THE MENU.

MAD MEN LONG ISLAND TEA - Smiroff Vodka, Tanqueray Gin, Cointreau, Corralejo Reposed, The Bitter Truth Violet, St. Germain, Fresh Citrus, Soda Charge.

According to them, everything in the ingredient list are alcohol (except citrus and soda) so it's super strong. They even added an extra rating when it comes to strength for this so it's really a strong one!

FOR SOME REASON, it didn't taste as strong for me that night (maybe 'cause at that point I was not sober anymore HAHAHAHA) and SURPRISINGLY I REALLY LIKE THIS 'cause it's slightly fizzy and quite fruity as well hahaha.



COCO MELAKA - Courvoisier VS, Cointreau, Pandan, Ginger Flower, Fresh Citrus.

At this point I am already.... confused. HAHA from what I remember this is pretty sweet and it was good TOO (ok tbh none of the drinks were bad so it's damn difficult to judge).

So on top of all these extremely creative cocktails they serve (and you can never find elsewhere 'cause most bars I've been to only serve those normal cocktails like the usual Long Island Tea, Sex on the beach etc. #basic haha) they do offer shots as well! And what's not surprising anymore after reading this post is that... their shots are very creative and Singapore-style as well!!!


BAK KUA SHOTS LOL PLEASE!!!!!



I tried Bak Kua, Bandung, Sour Plum (my fav) & Ondeh Ondeh!!!

AND they have custom cocktails as well, if you have a very specific taste, tell the bartender and they will whip up a very special drink just for you, right on the spot!


This is my "Hi I want something fruity, a bit sweet and a bit sour..." drink haha.
It's made with Raspberry, Lychee, Yuzu and Vodka!



SPEAKING OF CUSTOM DRINKS, they made 4 AMAZING cocktails to match my 21st Birthday Party as well~~ It was themed Alice in Wonderland!

If you're looking to host a party soon, Hopscotch Bar does events as well! You can do it at their bar, you can also get custom cocktails to your liking.... They are very open to working with you all, to create something you like on your special day!!!
